The Moon Calendar with the accompanying Moon Star Glossary and Moon Sign Glossary is meant to give a general flavor and outlook to the day for everyone.

A note about the Daily Moon Star: Look up the Daily Moon Star by consulting the Moon Calendar. Please note that the natal Moon star is different from the Daily Moon Star that is prevalent from day to day. The daily Moon Star is listed in the Lunar calendar. Simply click on the Moon Star and it will take you to the Moon Star Glossary. The Moon Star of the day will give you the flavor of the day, and since the Moon Star is also ruled by certain planets, each day will not only be influenced by the nature of the Moon Star, but also by the Moon sign or constellation the Moon travels into, plus the nature of the planets that rule the Moon Stars.

Difference in application between the Daily Moon Star and the birth Moon Star: The Daily Moon Star is not to be confused with the birth Nakshatra or Moon Star. Of course they are the same 27 Lunar Mansions or Nakshatras or Moon Stars, yet the application is different. The Daily Moon Star will give the general flavor of the day, whereas your birth Nakshatra or Moon Star tells you your personality characteristics.  

Discover your birth Nakshatra personality characteristics by looking up your natal Moon Star in this Moon Star Glossary. The Nakshatra in your chart could influence personality and characteristics from the time of birth. Please note that you will already need to know what your birth moon star is before you can look up your personality characteristics from your birth or natal moon star. MOON STAR GLOSSARY
(Nakshatras)

Each person is born with a particular Nakshatra also known as the Moon Star. The 27 Nakshatras or Moon Stars are listed below. According to Eastern Astrology, The Moon Star shapes a person's personality from the time of birth. Each Nakshatra has a particular energy or power, also called Shakti. Personalities with their strengths and weaknesses according to the position of the Nakshatra in their chart at the time of birth are influenced and shaped by that Moon Star.

The Moon Star (Nakshatra) for the Moon Calendar should be distinguished from the Moon Star at the time of the person's birth. The Nakshatra, or Moon Star at the time of an individual's birth with respect to the birth chart will determine that individual's personality and basic nature. The Moon Calendar tracks the Moon's position with respect to the Nakshatra, or Moon Star, which determines the color of the day for what activities or actions might be favorable, which are also listed in the Moon Sign Glossary. There are 27 lunar mansions, or Nakshatras.

EXAMPLES OF FAVORABLE ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH NAKSHATRAS

The following is a sample of some favorable activities typically associated with certain Nakshatras. The number in front of each star corresponds with its order. The number in front of the Moon Star refers to its order in the constellations. When looking at the Moon Calendar, look for the Moon Star for each day. The following list is only a representation of a few of the favorable activities associated with each Moon Star/Nakshatra.

Relationship: 12-Uttara Phalguni, 10-Magha, 17-Anuradha, 26-Uttara Bhadrapada, 27-Revati, 13-Hasta, 4-Rohini, 7-Punarvasu, 21-Uttara Ashadha and 5-Mrigashira.

Business: 9-Ashlesha, 20-Purva Ashadha, 24-Shatabhisha

Travel and/or going on vacation: 8-Pushya, 5-Mrigashira, 17-Anuradha, 13-Hasta,1- Ashwini, 27-Revati, 19-Mula, 22-Shravana and 23-Dhanishtha.

Construction/Building: 16-Vishakha, 5-Mrigashira, 11-Purva Phalguni, 3-Krittika, 14-Chitra, 18-Jyeshtha, 15-Swati.

Agriculture: 2-Bharani, 25-Purva Bhadrapada

CHART OF THE NAKSHATRAS OR MOON STARS

The following is a chart of the Nakshatras, their ruling planets and the Zodiac constellations that the Moon Stars/Nakshatras are located in. The ruling planet and the constellations will also influence the overall color of the Star.

1. Ashwini. This is the first star in the lunar mansions. Ketu is the ruling planet. This makes spirituality and the healing arts dharmic, and they might have a career as healers. With the Moon in this lunar mansion, the personality tends to love music and the arts.
2. Bharani. This is the second star in the lunar mansions. Venus is the ruling planet. This makes an appreciation of beauty, and the arts important in the person's life. When the Moon is in this lunar mansion, the person might be a good writer or speaker, with an interest in yoga and spiritual studies.
