THE INNER KNOWLEDGE OF JYOTISH TRANSFORMS AND IMPROVES OUR LIVES
The Vedic word Jyotish comes from the expression "jyoti" which indicates the inner light of consciousness which illuminates all things. The ancient Seers known as Rishis thousands of years ago experienced the relationship between the individual and the cosmic life of planets, stars and galaxies.
They sought to express the dynamics of this relationship in terms of the unfoldment of individual life from same "self" to unbounded "Self", from birth to death; from abstract values of consciousness represented by the planets and constellations to concrete values of events on the material physical level of our lives.
YAGYA OR PROCESS OF INTEGRATION WITH THE SELF
Yagya is an applied value of jyotish which brings us deep knowledge of time honored procedures revealing to us in what manner to approach certain impulses of Nature. This is for the purpose of deriving specific results for maximum benefits. Yagya uses subtle sound both on the verbal and mental levels.
All the Divine Powers of Nature exist within the Self which we are. Vedic procedures are an opportunity to bring these Laws of Nature consciously to individual awareness. Vedic yagyas are a process of the Self unfolding Itself to Itself. The result is full awakening to That which we are or Enlightenment.
Another aspect of Yagya and knowledge of subtle sounds is that it enables us to overcome negative tendencies and influences which affect our activities. Thus yagyas enable us to succeed more in our material life.

About Dr. Henry Herzberger
Dr. Henry Herzberger has been a teacher of meditation for the past 36 years. His experience includes teaching meditation as well as conducting teacher training courses in meditation, organizing and running meditation centers and participating in intensive courses in Vedic knowledge with advanced spiritual practices. He also has earned a degree in Vedic Psychology. Part of his work has included acoustic analysis of sounds and particular expertise in the areas of Vedic Recitation and Vedic yagya.
Dr. Herzberger has sought to expand the area of Vedic knowledge in terms of deeper values of consciousness. He emphasizes that the knowledge of Jyotish is ultimately based on direct experience of the qualities of consciousness represented by the planets and constellations.
